Monkey Mind
Racing monkey mind
Like a pinball machine
Lights flashing
Bells dinging
Chaos running a mile a minute
Focus switching rapidly
Unsure which landing
Will set off the trigger
That opens the floodgate of projection
Exploding rejection’s old walls of protection
Coated thick with fear
Whose illusion
Would have us to tune in
To lies of entrapment
Our ego’s encampment
That false place of sadness
And mind spinning madness
That locks us away from ourselves
Our true power
That resides adorned
In love
High above
The raging storm.
-
So step into the eye of it
Where we can see the lie of it.
It spits and fits and wails in fear
But from the eye we see the clear
And present lack of ďanger
And ego becomes a stranger
In calm and grounded center
The mind from which we enter
A knowing source of love and peace
Where we connect when we release
The ego’s hold upon our mind
Let go control and we will find
A space within - a great expanse
Where higher self awaits the chance
To meet us in the calm and stillness
Take our hand to join the dance
Of spirit’s sweet creation
Swirling in manifestation.
We’re meant for joy instead of strife.
We’re free to chose peace in this life.
Abundance, beauty, flow and ease
Await the moment we’ll receive
The gifts that spirit has in store.
Let go and trust and want no more
And step into our soul’s birthright.
Hold fast to truth and be the light.

As always, Charlee, you pack so much meaning into every line. Beautiful writing, beautiful message.
Amazing words put together each full of love wisdom and meaning but each one deeply rooted and resonating.
